The Data we collect and Why we do so
Comments
Data associated with visitor comments in the embedded Comments Form on our website is collected. This includes IP address and browser user agent string in order to facilitate spam detection.
The email address provided when commenting may be used to check whether the visitor is using Sharma Accounting Services. This is achieved by sending the hash or anonymized string created from the user email address. User profile picture associated with Sharma Accounting will be visible to the public alongside comments following approval.
Media
Images embedded with location data that is uploaded by users can be downloaded by site visitors. Users should avoid uploading images to the website with such tags.
Contact Forms
Data provided in contact forms such as email id and mobile number will only be used for communicating with the user. The details will not be shared to a third party.
Cookies
We use cookies to enhance user experience and provide the user with the option to accept/reject them at every stage. Name, email and website can be saved in cookies when commenting to avoid filling them again when leaving future comments. This Cookie duration extends to a year.
In order to check whether your browser accepts cookies, we will set up a temporary cookie when you visit the site’s login page. The cookie will be promptly discarded when the browser is closed and contains no personal data.
Cookies will also be created for login screens and display preferences. The login information will be stored for two days and will be extended to two weeks if the “Remember me” option is selected. Comments and related metadata are stored indefinitely in order hasten approval of subsequent comments and reduce moderation queue.
Personal information provided by users during account registration on our site will also be stored in the long-term and our administrators have access to that information. Users can modify or delete this information at any time.

Users can request all the data we possess on their interactions on the site. They can also request to delete any personal information. We will comply with all requests given that it doesn’t involve data we’re obliged to keep for legal and security reasons.

Comments left by visitors may be routed through an automated spam detection service.
